Hard Disk Manager 12 comes in consumer-targeted Suite and SMB-oriented Professional versions -- both include functions for disk partitioning, backup and recovery, copy and migration, security and optimization and boot management, according to the company. The disk management software works in physical and virtual environments.

Paragon said that the newest version includes support for solid-state drives and is compatible with Microsoft’s VSS service. The Professional version of the software also offers the ability to migrate physical systems to virtual environments, as well as “connect virtual hard drives directly to the software” using Paragon’s Connect VD technology, according to the company.

The home version of the disk management software retails for $49.95 on the company’s website, while a license for each copy of the business version goes for $99.95.
